At Hugapug our pugs are pets first and show dogs second. Pugs have been a part of our life for the past 25 years and during that time we have been very blessed to have had many wonderful dogs in our family.
Some of our past stars who, regrettably, are no longer with us include:

Ch Gilgai Makaha 'Sam' who was bred by Esme and Jack Stringer. Not only was Sam our first all breeds best in show winner, he also won BIS at Group and Breed Speciality levels. Although Sam has now passed away, his legacy lives on through his children and his grandchildren including our own boy Darcy 'Ch Gaitway Qikdraw McGraw.

Ch Gilgai Mai Tai 'Tai' also bred by Esme and Jack Stringer'Tai was our first champion and was a BISS winner.

Ch Patrian Abitov Anewsance 'Bert' was bred by Patsy Muirden and was our first Best of Breed winner at the Sydney Royal Easter show. Bert retired at just over 2 years of age and then made a spectacular return at aged 7 1/2 winning numerous classes in group as well as a Best in Group award

Gr Ch Clarevale Lawman 'Alfred' bred by Julie Gotch This wonderfully charismatic dog has a most enviable record.

However his best legacy is in his off spring:

Ch Gaitway Qikdrw McGraw 'Darcy' was bred by Don and Lyn Hunter, is a multi BIG winner and has an all breeds runner up best in show win to his credit. As a baby, Darcy won 11 Best baby in groups from 15 shows - our most successful baby puppy ever!

And our latest star

Ch Puggleswort Effbee Eye 'J.Edgar' this remarkable little dog who was bred by Bronwyn and David Fouracre, has not been heavily campaigned however has an impressive record to date.

1 Runner Up Best in Show (All Breeds)
Multiple Best in Group Awards

And..
Best of Breed, Group #3, and Best Puppy in Group at the 2005 Sydney Royal Easter show under toy specialist Mr R Podesta (Chile)
